The Portrait Session Planning Guide Template
The Portrait Session Planning Guide Template
A fully customizable InDesign template designed to deliver to your booked clients for their portrait session planning.
One of the top struggles that I hear from other portrait photographers is client education, and how to do it well. From not knowing where to start, to what content to include, how to use the right words, or how to get this important information in the hands of their clients in a way that fits their brand experience. When I began educating my clients on light and location, wardrobe, the importance of hair and makeup, and what to expect in detail- it was a GAME CHANGER for how beautiful and smooth my portrait sessions started to be. It also paved the way for my portfolio to begin attracting more of my ideal clients because I was finally able to show more of the work I wanted to book!
As a photographer who values the tangible client experience, when I began educating my clients about the printing, framing, and album options in great detail PRIOR to their session with me- my clients began to make confident and well informed decisions on the art for their home. From a creative standpoint, I began to experience deep fulfillment seeing these families hold their printed photographs, and from a business perspective, my sales began to nearly triple!
This template is entirely customizable to fit your own brand and voice. Every font, color, background, border, image, and even page order & layout can be easily changed to represent your photography business.

REVIEWS & FEEDBACK
"I am NOT a writer. My biggest hurdle when working on client information is writing the text. To have someone so willing to share their already thought out, and clearly written text is a blessing! Of course I’m making small changes so that it fits my voice, but to not have to start from scratch staring at a blank page for hours makes the whole process a million times less daunting! To also have a simple, classic and yet still elegant design to show off my best work and pair it with all the great information to educate my clients is going to be a game changer in my business. I was sending out email, after email trying to make sure my clients and I were on the same page and now I finally feel like I can provide my clients with all that info in a beautifully designed printed magazine.
Even being someone who is very familiar with InDesign I found Tiffany’s tips she included in her “Here’s Where I Suggest You Begin” PDF to be full of great tips for making this portrait guide my own. Getting myself set up with your colors, fonts and my images before I even jumped into the design made the customizing for my brand process go very smooth and so much faster then I had imagined. This guide is elevating my brand to a whole new level! I feel more confident having this wonderful tool as a part of my business. I know it is helping me to create an experience that my clients will value. "
"At first glance The Portrait Session Planning Guide Tiffany created blew me away! Her fully customizable template was so easy to download and is exactly what I was hoping to provide my booked clients with a more professional looking session guide to enhance their experience, but I didn't know where to start. Tiffany put so much time and detail into making this available and user-friendly, using her own images and words as examples for me to change into my own voice and custom fit to my style and brand. Such a timesaver and am so excited to get started! Thank you Tiffany!"
